2019 Solway Coast: Entries now open

Entries for the 39th www.usedcarparts.co.uk Solway Coast Rally, to be held on 3/4 August, will open at 8pm tonight (Monday 8 July).

Solway Car Club is exceptionally grateful to DA Autoparts and Richard, Nadine and Peter Stewart, who have been loyal sponsors of the Solway Coast Rally since 1980, and continue to sponsor our event this year, for the 39th consecutive year.

The event will again be based on the Military Ranges near Dundrennan in south west Scotland, and will welcome competitors from no less than eight different championships across the UK.

Event organisers Solway Car Club pay special thanks to the MOD for allowing access to The Range again. However, due to nationwide changes in MOD security policy, there will sadly be no access to the main camp this year; this includes our usual HQ, Service Area, and the accommodation in the barracks.

This has instigated a number of changes this year, which Competitors will find best explained when reading the Event Regulations.

On Saturday 3 August, the Solway Coast Rally will welcome competitors from The Cobble Shop Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship, Border Challenge and Yokohama Tyres F1000 Senior Championship, who will tackle an event of 39.5 miles, which despite the aforementioned changes, is just one mile shorter than last year’s event.

On Sunday, youngsters from the Scottish, English and Welsh Junior 1000 Rally Series will meet for the first time this season to compete against each other in a variety of 1000cc cars in the Solway Coast Junior Rally. This event will be run in tandem with the Solway Coast Historic Rally, a counter in the HRCR Stage Masters Challenge, HRCR Mini Sport Cup and FUCHS Lubricants Classic Mini Challenge.

Online Entries for all three events, which can be accessed via the below links, will open at 8pm tonight and close on 25 July.
